Product introduction
Aluminum flat bars are versatile and durable building materials that are commonly used in boat construction and repair. We offer a variety of aluminum flat bar for boats, including radius flat bar and structural angle flat bar.
Our aluminum radius flat bar is an excellent extrusion to use for leaning posts, grab rails, T-top rings and for mounting electronic boxes. We offer it in 10- and 12-foot lengths in either a mill or polish brite anodized finish.
For standard aluminum flat bar, we offer this extrusion in 2-, 3- and 4-inch widths in 12-foot lengths with either a mill, polish brite anodized or 320-grit brite anodized finish. Aluminum flat bar is ideal for mounting brackets on a variety of fabricated components.
Our 2-inch by 2-inch aluminum structural angle is available in 20-foot lengths with a polish brite anodized finish.

1. Dimensions
The thickness of marine grade aluminum flat bar is generally 0.2 - 8.0mm, the width is generally 20 - 600mm, and the length is generally 1000 - 6000mm, of which the more common specifications are 1.0 × 20 × 2000mm, 1.0 × 30 × 2000mm, 1.0 × 40 × 2000mm, 1.0 × 50 × 2000mm, and so on.
2. Surface treatment
Marine grade flat aluminum bars generally need surface treatment, common anodic oxidation, electrophoretic coating, electrostatic spraying and other treatments. These treatments can improve the surface performance of flat aluminum bar, improve its corrosion resistance and corrosion resistance, so that it has better stability and durability in different environments.
Here are some ways that aluminum flat bars can be used on a boat:
Framing: Aluminum flat bars can be used to create a framework for boat components such as seats, tables, and storage compartments. They are lightweight and sturdy, making them ideal for creating a solid and stable structure.
Reinforcement: Aluminum flat bars can be used to reinforce weak or damaged areas of the boat. They can be easily welded or bolted into place, providing added strength and stability.
Trim and edging: Aluminum flat bars can be used as trim or edging for various parts of the boat, such as hatches, doors, and windows. They can be easily cut to size and shape and provide a clean and finished look.
Mounting brackets: Aluminum flat bars can be used to create mounting brackets for accessories such as lights, electronics, and fishing equipment. They can be shaped and formed to fit the specific needs of each accessory.
Fabrication: Aluminum flat bars can be used in boat fabrication to create custom components such as rails, supports, and platforms. They can be bent, shaped, and cut to the desired specifications, making them ideal for custom boat building.
